Wizards Fingerprint Identification System (WiFIS™)
Wizards Fingerprint Identification System (WiFIS™) has been developed by Wizards Solutions Limited to answer to the problems of identifying and distinguishing individuals for corporate purposes.
Recent developments in computer technology has made biometrics an asset especially for use in security and identity related needs such as access to facilities-rooms, vehicles, computer or information storage systems or financial accounts. The convergence of biometric systems is based on the fact that hitherto, widely applied means of identification have proved inadequate, especially for the spate of human development. Personal Identification cards (ID cards) could easily be misplaced or misapplied, personal identification Numbers or PIN codes may be forgotten or easily configured. Even passwords have proven not impossible to be compromised. The biometric system has proved largely foolproof being based on the physical/ behavioural features that are found in each individual. In addition, it has been scientifically proven that no two individuals have been found to possess same combination of biological features.
WiFIS™ is a complete positive identification module which can be operated as a stand alone or as an integrated solution. It is a multi-application biometric-based system which supports smart cards (contacts and contactless), magnetic stripes and bar codes for the purpose of positive identification.
It is based on Oracle /SQL compatible technology. Oracle and Microsoft’s SQL are the global leaders in Relational Database Management Systems and are the database of choice for any mission critical application. Thus, WiFIS™ has several benefits such as Hardware and Operating System Independence. This will provide users with the flexibility of utilizing any standard hardware as well as any commonly used operating system e.g. Windows, UNIX, Linux, etc.

Distinctive Features of WiFIS™
An application of WiFIS™ is based on a biometric system which has the following distinctive modules:

Identification- This solution issues a classy, secure and dignifying smartcard that does not only serve the purpose of an identity card (ID card) but also holds smart information on the owner. The card cannot be forged nor faked.
Verification- The card will hold the fingerprints minutiae of the card holder, the facial minutiae and basic data components. These make the facility an undisputable foolproof source of verification of the true identity online and even offline without servers or connectivity to database.
Payment- The WiFIS™ smart card can also double as a payment and ATM card for payment of salaries and general payment for goods and services. The card can be configured to work with existing facilities offered by electronic payment service providers.
Physical Access control- The WiFIS™ smart card can be used to gain access to secure rooms and offices.
